| Bright Beginnings | For children ages 3-17 months with a parent/caregiver. |
| Lapsit Storytime | For children aged 18 to 28 months to share with parent/caregiver. |
| P.J. Stories | This is a family drop-in program for 3-6 year olds Pajamas and teddy bears welcome. |
| Preschool Stories and Crafts | Stories and crafts for children 3-6 years old. |
| Preschool Storytime | For children aged 3-6 and a parent/caregiver to share. |
| Toddler Time | For two year old children and parent/cargiver to share. |

| A Special "Knight" Night Stories and Games | Play some of your favorite games, Concentration and Bingo, and listen to a P.J. story or two. Bring your parents and make a "knight" of it! |
| An American Girl Doll Garden Party | You and your American Girl dolls are invited to a party. We'll make a garden party craft, play a game and have lemonade and cookies. |
| Art in the Park(ing Lot) | Wear your old clothes and bring your imagination. We'll "paint like Pollack" in the parking lot and celebrate art! |
| Books-N-Bites | Designed for students in grades 3 and 4. Books-n-Bites meets on Friday afternoons from 3:45-4:30 PM. |
| Books-N-Bites Special Edition | Join us for this special Books-N-ites program. We will discuss the book and have a screening of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Designed for students in grades 3 and 4. It meets on Wednesday, August 20, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. |
| Captain Underpants Party | Fun, games, activities and snacks. Lots of laughs! Grades K-3. |
| Castle-Building | Build castles to take home, and help us construct a large castle to be on display at the Library! Join us to celebrate Read a Lot in Camelot. |
| Catch the Reading Bug with Rob Westcott | This program is filled with magic, puppetry, story-telling and audience interaction. It inspires kids to read and presents steps to a healthier you. |
| Fun with Cartoons with Cartoonist V.G. Myers | Learn the art of cartooning, make some of your own and be prepared to "bug out" with cartoons. |
| Game On! Wii™ | What can be better than an afternoon of Wii™ gaming on a giant screen? Answer: nothing! Space is limited to 20 gamers so everyone will have a chance to play. |
| Guys Read! | Popular requests have resulted in a new book discussion for fathers and sons. Boys in grades 4-6 may register with their dads. It meets on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:30. |
| Let's Explore Music Together | Registered Music Together teachers Sandra Cross and Scott Will present a demonstration of their class which includes songs, movement and instrument play. |
| Library Olympics | Test your Olympiad skills with some unusual competitions that you won't see in Beijing. Sign up early, only 20 athletes will be admitted to each competition. |
| Little Kids Little Songs | Flute Sweets and Tickletoons bring their imaginative and fun music and storytheater to the Library. |
| Make-It Mondays | After school lets out, drop by the Library for an easy and fun craft. We'll have a different project every week. No registration required. |
| Mother Goose and Friends | Mary Jane Haley returns with her nursery rhyme friends. Enjoy pupetry, rhyme and creative dramatics. |
| Mother-Daughter Book Club | This is for girls (fourth grade and up) and their mothers and meets the third Sunday of the month at 3:30 PM. |
| Movie Afternoon | Join us for popcorn and videos from the Chicago International Children's Film Festival and Studio 60093. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. |
| Music and Movement | Singing, dancing and general music-making, plus rythmic instrumetns and scarf activities! |
| My Book Discussion | This book discussion is for young adults who are developmentally challenged but who love to read and talk. Scholastic has generously donated issues of their classroom magazines Action and SuperScience for our discussions. |
| Royalty for a Day | It's a royal party for aspiring princes and princesses - fairy-tale inspired stories, games and crafts. Sign up early, there is only space for 20 young royals. |
| Silly Songs for Silly Kids and their Silly Parents | Dave Rudolf returns with his Parents Choice Award-winning program of music and fun. |
| Summer Scrapbooking | Do you have some summer photoes you'd like to save in a scrapbook? Join us for this fun scrapbook project. Bring up to 6 copies of any photos. |
| The Amazing Reading Race Kickoff Event | Celebrate the start of Summer Reading with a party! We'll have food, drinks and entertainment. Don't miss the debut of Wii™ gaming at the Library! Plus, sign up for the Amazing Reading Race at the kickoff event on Saturday and receive a price. During the Amazing Reading Race, either read many different generes or count your pages to earn prizes. At the end of the summer, one lucky person will win a Flip Ultra Digital Video Camera. |

| The Jester and His Castle | Caton Enterprises, Ltd. Presents how a castle works through the eyes of a jester. Learn about who lives in the castle, what the jobs are, and what a jester does. Perhaps even some juggling! |
| Video Animation Seminar | Learn to use our new animation program Flip Boom. We will demonstrate the use of a graphics tablet for drawing animation, and how you can use it to make a video for the 2nd Annual Studio 60093 Children's Video Fest. |
