| Comments: The author should be commended for tackling a variety of timely themes. However, we didn't care for the writing. It lacked emotional depth. The plot was mediocre and hampered by the lack of emotion. |

| Reviewer: Juliette |
Age:9 |
Date Reviewed: 8/16/2003 |
| Comments: This is one of the most amazing books I have ever read. I liked the contrast and complixity of the plot, as well as the many facets and sides illuminated and covered while doing justice to the story. The characters were diverse and created a diversion. A really great work of art. |

| Comments: We thought the book had some wonderful points, such as even being poor, you can still be rich. And being rich in money isn't the only thing in life. Also, the characters are realistic and everything turns out in the end. |

| Behind the Bedroom Wall by Laura E. Williams |
| Reviewer: Aimee |
Age:12 |
Date Reviewed: 9/3/2003 |
| Comments: This book is based in Germany when Hitler was making a big impression on Germany. The girl and her parent's disagree about Jewish people. I like how this book shows how influencing kids can be very affective. I liked this book a lot because it challenges the opinion of your elders and shows kids that they can think for themselves and make the right choices. There is a very key twist in the story that you'll have to read about. |
